7 Funnel Mistakes That Kill Agency Conversions

7 funnel mistakes article cover

We’ve audited hundreds of agency funnels. The same seven mistakes appear over and over — and most take under an hour to fix.

1. Asking for too much, too soon

Eleven-field forms kill opt-ins. Ask for name, email, phone — maybe one qualifying question. Enrich later through automation.

2. One headline for every visitor

Traffic from a Facebook ad about pricing should not land on a generic homepage headline. Match message to source or watch bounce rates soar.

3. No speed-to-lead automation

Leads contacted within five minutes convert dramatically better than leads contacted after an hour. If your funnel doesn’t trigger an instant SMS + email, you’re donating leads to competitors.

4. Walls of text

Nobody reads paragraphs on a sales page — they scan. Short lines, bold claims, proof, CTA. Repeat.

5. Invisible social proof

Testimonials buried at the bottom might as well not exist. Put proof next to every ask: beside the form, under the price, before the CTA.

6. Dead-end thank-you pages

The thank-you page is prime real estate: book a call, watch a demo, grab an order bump. Never waste it on “thanks, check your email.”

7. No follow-up past day two

Most sales happen after the fifth touch. A 7–14 day nurture sequence is the difference between a funnel that “kind of works” and one that prints.
